BARREL Digital Exchange

Exchange 02 · Project land with a record behind it: parcels, aggregations and land-wanted requirements for energy and infrastructure.

Land Exchange — Sale, purchase, lease, aggregation and development-ready land for energy and infrastructure projects.

Energy projects stand or fall on land: the right parcel, near the right substation, with a clean record and an owner who is ready to deal. The Land Exchange brings landowners, aggregators and project developers together through structured parcel listings entered by survey number, map or KML, a land desk review before a listing goes live, and controlled disclosure so that exact boundaries and owner identity reach only serious counterparties under NDA.

Land Exchange

Sale, purchase, lease, aggregation and development-ready land for energy and infrastructure projects, listed parcel by parcel with survey numbers, boundaries, evidence and a land desk review before anything goes live.

What you can do

  • List land for sale or lease by survey number, map drawing or KML upload
  • Offer adjoining parcels as one aggregation package with each owner's authority on file
  • Post a land-wanted requirement with area, tenure and distance-to-substation limits
  • Propose a parcel partnership where the owner contributes land and a developer builds
  • Offer or seek a right-of-way or easement for lines, cables and access roads
  • Request a land due diligence from a listed surveyor, advocate or title investigator

Rules built in

  • A parcel is entered by survey number, drawn on the map or uploaded as KML, and adjoining parcels can be grouped into one aggregation listing; BARREL keeps the boundary as submitted and a validated copy side by side.
  • Area is kept in the unit the owner gave and shown in hectares and acres with the conversion basis.
  • Exact coordinates and the owner's identity stay private until an NDA is signed; public listings show the district only.
  • Uploading documents does not make a title verified: each listing shows what was checked and when, a title search is recorded with its date, issuer and scope, and BARREL's review is a completeness check, not a title opinion or a substitute for a qualified local advocate.
  • The first version tracks site visits, offers, title diligence and the lease or sale deed as deal-room milestones; agreements and registration are signed and completed outside the platform.

Questions prospects ask.

Who can list land on the Land Exchange?
A landowner, or a representative holding written authority from the owner, can list a parcel once the organisation or individual has completed registration and the evidence of ownership or authority is on file. Aggregators list a package of parcels with an authority letter for each owner. Developers, EPCs and industrial users post land-wanted requirements.
How do I list a parcel, and what happens before it goes live?
Create the parcel in the listing wizard with its survey numbers and area in the local unit, draw the boundary or upload a KML file, and attach the record of rights and any title search or site report you hold. BARREL's land desk checks the listing for completeness and consistency, which usually takes one to two business days, and the approved version is published at district level only.
What do the trust labels mean, and does BARREL guarantee the title?
Self-declared means the owner provided the information and nothing has been independently checked. Documents checked means the named documents were reviewed on the stated date. Reference checked means at least one submitted reference was independently contacted. BARREL reviewed means the listing passed the completeness review and the checks shown in its verification record. None of these is a title guarantee, a valuation or an assurance of zoning, conversion, access or suitability; a qualified local advocate remains necessary.
What does it cost to list a parcel or post a requirement?
Listing fees, requirement posting, assisted listing and land desk services are priced by plan; see Plans. Verification services are quoted with their scope and limitations stated, and BARREL never sells a verification outcome.
When does a buyer see the exact boundary and who owns the land?
Public listings show the district, area, classification and distances only. After a buyer's enquiry is accepted and the NDA is signed through the platform, the owner grants access to the boundary file, survey records and title documents, and every view and download is logged. A site visit is arranged only after this step.
